Resources
In the education field, you HAVE to be up to date on the most recent and relevant teaching tools, strategies, and laws. Here are some must-have resources if you want to survive as an education specialist...
Student Data Tracker
I created this sheet in order to help improve communication and collaboration for the whole student's educational team. It can be very time consuming and tedious to try and track down every member of a student's educational team and try and share the student's daily progress. Many team members have different schedules, availability, and even work on different sites. This sheet can make it easy for all to interact in real-time and get quality student information and updates.
The California Department of Education website may seem like an obvious and boring resource but it's absolutely not! This website has constant updates about relevant issues that may affect education, helpful news and articles, state standards, required laws and policies, and so much more. There is so much helpful support and information on here. It also comes in handy when you need to double-check on standards or laws to make sure you are staying within compliance and out of trouble.
I love this website/blog because it's always updating and changing with new and fun teaching tools! Brie, the creator of this website/blog, has been a special education teacher for many years and wants to give her viewers "life skill resources to help all students succeed." She writes educational posts/blogs, creates and shares curriculum and worksheets, and is available for communication should you have any questions or comments. She's an amazing asset to the education world!
